We have arrived in Peru now. 2 weeks of Mexico are over already \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

But that doesn’t keep us from reminiscing that wonderful trip and telling you, what places we’ve visited.<\/p>\n

Have you ever seen some pictures on a blog or website and thought: yeah, sure, that’s how beautiful it looks there. Joke’s on you, buddy, good photoshop skills.<\/p>\n

We’ve had that feeling before, which is why we want to let you know to keep that in mind for the next photos. Because in reality the places are even more beautiful.<\/p>\n

In the hostel in Tulum we’ve met a nice couple. A german guy with whom we had some nice conversations and drank some beer who was there with his lovely wife. The encounter was even more lucky for us, since they were driving home the same day we wanted to move on as well. Our next destination was on the way to where they live, so they drove us to Bacalar.<\/p>\n

In Bacalar we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. I’ve never seen more beautiful colors of the water. And the tent in our hostel was not even 20m from the water away.<\/p>\n

That of course meant a lot of swimming and swinging and lying in Hammocks.<\/p>\n

The city of Bacalar was okay, but not much that you need to have seen. As an attraction we were told to go to the cenote, which after a relatively long walk along a boring street, turned out to be an unspectacular water hole, where you have to pay to get in and only get to swim with a life vest. Ah well, after a tequila the world was alright again.<\/p>\n

Our transport from the hostel (which was a little outside the city). was an attraction in itself. Never would that have been allowed in germany, to drive on the back of the truck on the cargo area on the freeway. Here in Mexico, though, it is nothing out of the ordinary :D.<\/p>\n
